Contest Rules:

- The deadline for submissions is May 1, 2011.
- Participants must be between the ages of 9 and 17.
- Each participant may enter only one essay.
- Essay should be no less than 200 words and no more than 600 words.
- Essay must be solely the work of the entrant. Plagiarized essays will be disqualified.
- The winner or winners will be announced on May 15, 2011.

Selection Criteria:

Each Essay will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
1. Development of an original, interesting topic that fits the theme
2. Clarity of ideas and writing skills
3. Use of factual information
4. Creativity
